Our Vision

Our Mission

Share and care envisions a society that could bring together all communities to provide the inspiration and foundation for taking action to end poverty, to ensure justice and achieve greater equity.

Share and care is dedicated to eliminating the suffering of the poor through education and to alleviating the cruel effects of poverty through social welfare reform and development programmes through a variety of programmes and outreach activities. Share and care works tirelessly to achieve these ends.

Our Journey

Infant Care

The story of Share and Care began not with grand buildings or big projects, but with the soft cries of newborn babies. Tiny, delicate infants—less than a year old—lay cradled in their mothers’ arms, their eyes searching for comfort, their cries echoing only one need: milk. At that tender age, milk is not just food—it is life itself. It is their only nourishment, their only chance to grow.

But for many of these little ones, born into families weighed down by poverty, even this most basic lifeline was slipping away. Mothers held their hungry babies close, their hearts breaking as they watched tears roll down tiny cheeks. They whispered prayers, hoping for a miracle—because they had nothing left to give.

Vermiculture Project

In our journey to uplift lives, we discovered that true empowerment comes not just from giving, but from teaching people how to create a sustainable future with their own hands. With this vision, our Vermiculture Manure Preparation Project was born.

We reached out to some of the most vulnerable in our communities—elderly individuals and women, often left behind in the race of life, yet holding immense strength and resilience within them. Nearly 30 to 40 of these determined souls came forward, ready to learn, ready to change.

Through patient training sessions held across Katchur village, Pondavakkam, Kalavai, Thiruvallur, and in and around Poondi block, they were introduced to the art of preparing rich, organic manure through vermiculture. For many, it was the very first time they realized that something as simple and natural as earthworms could open doors to income, dignity, and independence.
